Rebar Quantity per Cubic Metre of Concrete
Back-calculate the total rebar tonnage from concrete volume using a reinforcement ratio (kg/m³). Typical ranges are 80–120 kg/m³ for slabs, 150–250 kg/m³ for beams and 200–350 kg/m³ for columns. Intended for early estimating and material planning.
Disclaimer:Results are produced by deterministic formulas and are intended for quantity estimating and option comparison only. A qualified engineer must verify them against the project specification, design documents and actual site conditions before use. The author accepts no liability for any loss arising from their use.

CALCULATION
METHOD
Rebar quantity
W = V × ρr, where ρr is the reinforcement ratio in kg/m³. The ratio is an empirical value, so final quantities must be taken off from the reinforcement drawings.- The reinforcement ratio is an empirical range that varies widely with structural form, seismic grade and span; use it for early estimates only.
- Final quantities must be taken off member by member from the structural construction drawings.
